The PED 2 is a capstan device that allows a user to raise or lower themselves and stop at any point. It has a 5;1 mechanical advantage making ascent relatively easy to achieve. It can also be used as rescue device to raise and lower a casualty in addition to its work functions.
KEY FEATURES
• Pulleys reduce effort required for lifting
• Pulleys and out plates made of lightweight anodised aluminium
• Uni-directional drum aids lifting function, provides friction during descent
• Designed for lifting people and equipment
• Fully serviceable
• 9mm static rope normal 25m lift / lower but can be greater by application.
• Working length 10m (50m standard)
• Additional rope - £1.45/m or Technora rope - £2.80/m
• Brake and control handle supplied with the kit
• Supplied in bespoke stowage and use bag
